Ideas from our veteran group
This Veteran’s Day, we highlight members from our McAfee Veterans Neighborhood and study about what this present day means to them:
“Today jogs my memory of the individuals I labored with and the distinction we made. It’s the individuals who volunteer to serve within the navy, sacrificing years of their lives, and in some instances, their very lives, who guard and shield the freedoms assured by the Structure. All navy personnel take an oath that, partially, says “I’ll assist and defend the Structure of america towards all enemies, international and home; that I’ll bear true religion and allegiance to the identical”. This oath doesn’t expire when a service member leaves navy service.“
– Andrew, Senior Service Reliability Engineer, Cloud
“Today is the day we honor the silver haired man in a Prius with a Silver Star license plate or the quiet thirty one thing mother within the retailer together with her noisy youngsters carrying the Marine-Corps T-shirt with two excursions in Afghanistan beneath her belt.. Not everybody was a Delta operative or a Navy SEAL. All of them nevertheless – to a person and lady – had their place within the system that saved us protected. Discover them; thank them for his or her service and your freedom.”
– Kevin, Buyer Success Supervisor, CSG
“I’ll by no means cease being Ex Armed Forces. I feel fondly of my time within the Royal Navy. I might do all of it once more in a heartbeat. I nonetheless get a lump in my throat once I hear “Coronary heart of Oak” or the “The Final Put up” being performed. The buddies I made and the individuals I met throughout my service from all nations and all elements of the Armed Forces, buddy or foe, all have an analogous vein working by them. Remembrance Day jogs my memory that whereas a few of us should not right here anymore, that vein remains to be with us and them.“
– Paul, Affiliate Technical Help Engineer, Buyer Success Group
“My household has a historical past of service and I grew up understanding I might be part of the Navy. I joined the Royal Navy in 1982 at age 18. I’m proud to have served and I’ll proceed to look at the 1 minute silence and attend the remembrance service and take the time to recollect the sacrifice. Lest we not overlook. For these courageous who gave their lives so we may reside ours.”
– Tudor, Sr. Undertaking Supervisor – New Product Info, International Product Operations
